This is a follow up post to the Top Pottery Blogs of 2014. A closer look at who blogged what. Mostly for fun and because I like charts and graphs.
Keep in mind: this isn’t an exact science. Trying to categorize blog posts has it’s challenges. Categories overlap, posts get left out, plenty of human error. Plus certain kinds of really great content don’t even get added to the Clay Blog Review. But I think it’s interesting to see what kind of content blogs produce. Below you can see my attempt to do that.

Oh no, now that I know stats are involved I must ASPIRE – what have you done to me!!
That’s the spirit! Always aspiring to be better. No pressure though!
1843 total links! That is incredible! As much work as I imagined you do I didn’t even come close. I’m blown away….. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Carter. It is a fair amount of work. But I’ve figured out how to automate some of it so it isn’t quite as bad as it sounds. Now, if only I can get my kiln-loading robot to stop dropping the pots…
That’s a lot of blogs.
Thanks for putting together the graphs, they are interesting and useful, I appreciate it.
Glad you like the graphs. I always like a good visual representation of data. And it’s interesting to see what kind of content comes from the pottery blogs.
